2012 West Coast Scooter Trip

WA - Cape Flattery

We were staying in Sekiu, WA and decided to take a day trip to Cape Flattery. We put on our rain suites and headed for Cape Flattery the most Northwestern point in the lower 48 states. The ride was very scenic along the Strait of Juan De Fuca. We stopped and checked out some tide pools and Pat collected a few stones and shells. We went on to Neah Bay and visited the Makah Indian Museum there (no pictures allowed in the museum) and then on to Cape Flattery. We hiked out to the point and were rewarded with beautiful views of the rock formations along the shore and in the water. We were even fortunate enough to see a sea otter playing along the coast and sea lions on a small rock island far from shore. Click on any of the thumbnail pictures to see an expanded view.
